Welcome to Etna Borough’s solar resource webpage! Etna is seeking ways to encourage solar energy development in our community. This webpage represents a collection of solar information and resources for the community. As of May 2021, Etna has 10 permitted residential solar installations as well as a solar car port and electric car charger at the Garden of Etna, a municipal owned project. The Etna Borough staff is committed to exceptional customer services as it relates to solar processes. To promote the continued advancement of solar in our community we are committed to the following:

• Providing clear guidelines about the solar permitting and inspection process in our solar checklist.
• Using a solar specific permit application.
• Processing most small rooftop solar PV permits applications in less than 3 business days.*

*Vacations, illness, and unforeseen circumstances many delay processing times due to staff availability.
