The E.P.D., located in the rear of the Borough Building, is charged with the responsibility of enforcing all borough ordinances and state laws which protect the health and welfare of the people of our community. Presently, the department consists of 6 full-time and part-time officers, and a meter repairman. All police correspondence and record keeping is handled by a full-time records clerk.

Supervision of the department rests in the hands of the Chief who, in turn, reports to the Mayor. All officers are police-academy trained and must attend mandatory in-service training classes yearly. Two fully equipped police vehicles are available for routine patrols and the answering of calls by residents.
