Seneca Area Emergency Services

Serving the Boroughs of Etna and Sharpsburg and Indiana Township

Emergency Number: 911

Business and Subscription Information Number: (412) 781-8596

On January 1, 1995, Etna Emergency Medical Services and Sharpsburg Emergency Medical Services combined operations to become Seneca Area Emergency Services. The appropriate paperwork was filed with the State and Seneca Area was designated the primary EMS provider for the boroughs of Etna and Sharpsburg. The service is licensed as an advanced life support provider with 2 Advanced Life Support ambulances and 1 Paramedic response unit. Although the Seneca staff is made up of highly-trained, unpaid volunteers, the ambulance, medical supplies, equipment, on-going training, insurance, etc. does cost. These costs are paid through your support of our Subscription Plan, your donations and through insurance payments. Seneca gets no tax dollars. Your subscription will entitle you, any member of your household under the family plans, as well as visitors to your home to unlimited Emergency Medical Care and transportation to an appropriate medical facility with no additional out-of-pocket expenses to you.

Non-Subscribers will be billed directly and will be expected to pay for any and all ambulance services.
