GLENSHAW, PA – The SHALER TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT / EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT and ETNA BOROUGH are announcing that in the event of flooding and/or other emergencies that give cause for residential evacuations, an Emergency Shelter will be opened at the Shaler Area Middle School, 1800 Mt. Royal Blvd Glenshaw, PA 15116.  This Shelter will be operated by Red Cross Volunteers with the Shaler Township Shelter Team.  This shelter will be available to anyone in the Shaler Area School District and surrounding communities.
 
There will be a separate animal shelter set up at the Undercliff Volunteer Fire Department at 700 Mt. Royal Blvd. Pittsburgh, PA 15223.

Any resident that requires assistance in moving items from their basement to upper floors can contact the Etna Borough Office at 412-781-0569.    The Shaler Area School District has organized “student/teacher teams,” who will assist Hosanna Industries with this effort.  The goal of this activity is to complete this prior to any flooding.
